The beginnings of the Lacoste brand began not on the catwalk, but on the tennis court. Tennis player René Lacoste wondered what to do next and his choice fell on clothes. In his efforts, he teamed up with André Gillier, who had significant experience in garment making. Then, choosing the logo was easy - Lacoste nickname was a crocodile. The first products were logically polo shirts, which are very popular with tennis players.
